MEMBERSHIP

​Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated has a strong stance against hazing or any unlawful or anti-social conduct. Since its founding in 1911 at Indiana University, the fraternity has consistently opposed hazing, as reflected in its precepts and explicit declarations. 
​
To be considered for membership, a candidate must have at least a 2.5 gpa on a 4.0 scale. For consideration into Kappa Alpha Psi on the alumni level, one must possess at least a bachelor's degree or the equivalent of such a degree from an accredited college or university.

​​Acceptable qualities of Kappa Alpha Psi ® members include:
  • The disposition to live in close companionship with men of similar values.
  • The wisdom to abide by the will of the majority without sacrificing individuality.
  • The discretion to refrain from destructive criticism while seeking to remove the causes of such criticism.
  • The acceptance of responsibility for any effort that moves the group forward.
  • The desire to strive for, and ultimately achieve, excellence in everything you do.
  • The commitment to train for leadership.
  • The resolution to give lifelong financial support and commitment to the maintenance and development of the Fraternity’s programs and purposes.​

 That Good "Ole Kappa Spirit" is alive in the reclamation effort moving throughout the fraternity. Brother,  you can reclaim your membership in good standing status by bringing your financial dues up-to-date. You are only a few steps away from returning to "Good Standing" and its privileges.
Pay your annual dues of $150.00 plus applicable reactivation fee.
​​    If inactive for 1-3 years, reactivation fee is $30.00
    If inactive for 4 or more years, reactivation fee is $50.00.   
If you haven't paid your one time housing assessment fee of $100.00, that is also due.
